Rightly Dividing Truth: How Dr. Tish Shearer Is Building Spiritual Foundations, Empowering Families, and Planting Seeds That Will Outlive a Generation

Making the choice to become a homeschool mom was actually easy for me. I started 3 out of the 4 of my kids' homeschooling journey later in their life (high school), during a time when many parents didn't have a choice, due to the pandemic. But even though the timing was different, I imagine our reasons were similar.

The foundation of education is built on relationships. I believe that these connections are essential to the teaching profession. My passion lies in nurturing these relationships through teaching, mentoring, and professional development. I work with individuals at all levels, from first-year college students to seasoned professionals, across diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Over my 14 years as an educator, I have observed firsthand how mental health influences student engagement and performance. Students bring to the classroom a range of experiences shaped by their home environments, socio-economic circumstances, and personal challenges. For instance, I have taught a student experiencing homelessness.

This milestone did not happen overnight. It took years of teaching, coaching, listening, and learning from families just like yours. As a behavior specialist, curriculum developer, and homeschooling mother, I have worked with parents raising children with ADHD, dyslexia, and neurodivergent (Autism) learners. These families inspired me to compile my experiences, strategies, and encouragement into resources that could bless parents everywhere.
